What's in Teluk Bahang?

Wait, have you ever been to Teluk Bahang? If you have not, you have to visit this place.

It's better known a small town located between Batu Feringghi and Balik Pulau, and there are plenty of tourist spots nearby or which can be accessed through Teluk Bahang. On weekends, plenty of cyclists can be seen paddling through the Teluk Bahang hills - some of them goes on a round island *whew!*.

  • a meriometic lake,
  • a turtle sanctuary,
• Monkey Beach and chalet,
2. Teluk Bahang Fishing Village and hostel,
3. Teluk Bahang Market,
4. Penang Butterfly Farm,
5. Taman Rimba & Rekreasi,
6. Teluk Bahang Dam,
7. Craft Batik - a batik cloth factory,
8. Orchid Farm,
9. Tropical Fruit Farm,
10. Durian farms similar to ours.
11. A few organic farms, some has chalets.

I haven't really explored Teluk Bahang completely, if there is anything I miss out, please inform me. Soon there will be more interesting places like the Eco fun park, more chalets, etc.

What we really enjoy here is the peaceful life, the greenery and the fresh air it brings, clean cool water from streams, the sunny beaches, the boat rides, the friendly strangers, some amazing birds, few mysterious birdwatchers, tropical butterflies, the sound of crickets throughout the night, the natural air-con, and lastly, the delicious durians. This mountain and village life has its wonders and it is certainly worth while staying here.
